AHMET FATOĞLU (1934-1997)

Ahmet FATOĞLU, who brought the name of FATOĞLU to its current position, was born in Bulancak in 1934 as 4th child of Fatma&Aslan FAT couple.
Since he was the first male child of the family, he was the right arm of his father and mother and like a father toward his other sisters.

Ahmet FATOĞLU has to left his school life because of the hardness of the living conditions in his youth and entered business life to be helpful to his family.
Ahment FATOĞLU who started doing business in 1947, made sea transportation with a boat of 20 ton transferred from his father for providing a means of living for his family.
Ahmet FATOĞLU, who started truck transportation and food wholesale in 1962 after opening the Black Sea Highway, became tax record-holder of Giresun by paying TL 63.000 of tax in the first year he has started doing business.
He established in 1978 in Bulancak FATOĞLU FlourMill with capacity of 160 ton/day.
He added again the navigation that is family business to the group activities after years by building M/V AYDIN FATOĞLU ship of 1400 ton in 1982.
The ship of 1400 ton named M/V AHMET FATOĞLU built in the name of him was gained by Turkish Sea Fleet.
He was taken to the hospital in 1996 after his illness. On 09 September 1997 he passed away.
Ahmet FATOĞLU was married, father of two son and one daughter. Nevertheless he was spiritual father for all of his employees and friends during the period he life.
He was founder of many associations established in Giresun. During his life starting from 1972 until 1992 he was the Executive Board Chairman of the Giresun Commercial and Industry Chamber and Member of the Turkish Union of Chambers and Stock Exchange for 20 years.
Ahmet FATOĞLU, who achieved countless successes in his lifetime was a businessman with strong talented social life. He was a leader knowing himself, courageous, appreciating others opinion, generous, dependable, having strong persuasion ability, believing what he was doing, honest, having enterprising soul, modest, having principle, with strong managing quality, knowing that even one second is very important when required.
Throughout his lifetime he invested in humans, encouraged young to study and supported them.
In 2000 Ahmet FATOĞLU Cultural Research and Social Solidarity Foundation was established for the purpose of serving to this principle of him.
We respectfully remember and asking God to have mercy on Ahmet FATOĞLU, founder of our company and executive board chairman.
